Hey Kevin, sadly it no longer exists. It was called 'ADAPT' and it was approved by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). I you're looking for any quality standard for coaches or coaching programs today I would start by checking out the International Coaching Federation (IFS).
I’m studying NLP, after a strong recommendation from an executive coach I worked with in 2015-16, who is today at the top of the field in start-up & Founder coaching. I’m finding it fascinating, and just canvassing other coaches on their certification, since such mixed opinions on the necessity and value (which ultimately depends - I believe - on 1. who your market is, and 2. how much you are helping people brilliantly with or without a certification).
I agree that it's not about the certification itself, but about the robustness of the program behind it. And yes, I'd say there are as much opinions on how to coach as there are coaches. NLP is fascinating indeed :)
Which course was it, Rik?
